Miss Daisy

Daisy is red and white Brittany Spaniel and is a rescue dog whom was given to us when James and I were out talking to various people around our district looking for Koda early in October 2010. A guy we talked with begged us to take her as she wouldn't stop barking and running around which hugely annoyed him and he was going to take her to the shelter. She interferred with his love of alcohol and drugs which he was high on and was standing out in the street with his bottle of beer in hand!!

Daisy has been an excellent girl and went with James on the Bigrig for a couple of weeks and good company and a watch dog although James did find her to be too busy on the truck and got into mischief chewing on what she shouldn't.

She has been home with me and settled down as she can run around outside with our neighbours dog Jake whom has been a friend to all of our dogs and divides his time between his home and ours.

Right at home in the drivers seat of James bigrig.

Daisy and Tubby

Daisy and Tubby, taking photos at night is not always a good photo due to bad lighting.

Daisy's first heat cycle and I tried to keep her inside or on the porch, however that was far easier said than done. I would go out or Tubby would come in and Daisy would quickly run past us to go out so on one of these times Dakota our neighbours all black Spaniel mix got hold of her and we hoped that being her first cycle she might be OK.. however we found that it only takes one time!!....

14 February 2011, Daisy gave birth to 10 puppies, 5 were born outside in the cold dropping in various places where I found them who died and I buried after getting Daisy settled. I had not realised she was in labour so as soon as I did I brought her inside to the birthing kennel I had all prepared for the big day!

She has 3 black with strip of white under their belly or their paws. 1 female and 2 males.
Two female black and white, similar markings to Daisy. The only two black and whites in the whole litter were the last two to be born and they are the biggest.

James left me the camera that he had had on the bigrig so I could take some photos. They are 10 days old here
