Leo

Meet Leo our newest family member who is a Great Pyrenees with a mix with perhaps a Golden Retriever from his colouring. He is around 4 years old and such a gentle and loving huge bear of a dog and has settled into our family well and we love him as he is so loveable and easy going

We got him from a couple whom had moved near a busy road and they were worried he may get on the road and be injured and they did not like to keep him tied out for long periods of time. They believed he was an outside dog yet he has lived inside with us from the first day we got him and sleeps on our bed with Rockie (Roxie).

Having puppies born in the house on 14 February and moving dogs around from puppies and mother and especially after puppies were weaned - the bigger dogs had to sleep either out on the back porch and puppies in the outside dogrun with a plastic kennel to sleep and in.

I never developed allergies before but have come down with a good dose of asthma that the last time I had that was back in 2003 when we lived in Oregon and being a very wet State. All through the moves to colder States I was asthma free. I guess all the dog hair especially with 8 dogs around and two horses was a bit much!! Everyone is outside now, either on the back porch or in the dog run.
24 April 2011. I am trying to find another cheap one or bigger to enlarge the size, as Leo has managed to pull away from me and run at large until he decides to come home - twice yesterday and Daisy encourages him, so now they are all in the kennel and no one is going out for a walk and I have hosed the poop out while they are in it until my health improves. Asthma is no fun!!
