Princess

Princess is a Racking horse, of the Tennessee Walking Horse/gaited horse line. These horses do not usually trot or canter and walk, fast walk then their racking walk which is like a five beat walk and extremely smooth to ride on. They can reach speeds up to 25 miles per hour with this racking walk and extremely pretty to see the show horses in high speed. The rider looks like they are gliding along and not the usual back and forward movement riders have to do on normal walk which can be hard on ones back especially with any injuries.

Princess is 11 year old mare whom is quiet enough that her previous owner could stand up on her back, slide down off her butt and do the 'indian leap on'. She is calm and old enough to have been worked through any antics she may have had which suited me very well as I definitely did not want another horse with issues.

James, who has not had a lot of experience riding feels very confident on her especially when he fully understood that she will not break into a gallop and through him off. He has some funny moments that we both laughed at watching the video I took of him riding when Princess tried to go back to Harmony and they had a small argument that James had to win.

A calm horse will give us both back our confidence after the bad fall I had on Tazman and never got back on him as I was in too much pain and pain that I still suffer from.

I have had two treatments with accupuncture which has helped me alot and I have gained ease of movement that I had bad stiffness since the accident.

Oh my gosh I have to loose weight, I have gained so much weight since living in the States. I am embarrassed and ashamed to be showing myself off. I walk the dogs each day and try and keep myself mobile as I feel better. I seem to be fighting a loosing battle with the bulge and have become one of the statistics which is wide spread around the USA over the 'attack of the overweight'!!
